Tutorials!!!!
Oh tutorials, how I love you....and I really do. I wouldn't know half the stuff I do without the good tutorial every so often. Vector Tuts just came out with a list of great Adobe Illustrator tutorials. Some of my favorites are the Guide to Infographics, the Geometric Line tutorial, and the Isometric Illustration tutorial. For the full list go here.

Love Does Grow on Trees
Zac Gorman
Zac Gorman is one creative man. His work is a huge nerdy pimply high five to my inner child. I especially love the use of .gifs to make his comics move. Brilliant.

How To Create And Rig A Realistic Puppet Sneak Peek
Really excited about this upcoming month long tutorial from AE Tuts on creating realistic puppets in After Effects. Check it out and get excited with me here.
Andy Pratt
I really love the color and quality of Andy Pratt's work. It reminds me a lot of Superjail!, which I adore.

Glenn Jones
If you don't know who Glenn Jones is then you have either have been under a rock, don't have access to internet, or have just not known you have seen one of his works. He is the master of T-shirt design and I hope to one day climb the mountain and train with him. What I love even more is that he records his illustration process, which is not only interesting but educational as well. Check out his portfolio here.

Song of the Spindle
An intellectually stimulating yet entertainingly hilarious piece by Drew Christie for the Possible Futures Film Contest. Without such great dialogue this piece would have fallen flat. But the great ideas behind this really make it a strong and engaging piece.

The Alphabet
From the guys at n9ve comes another amazing interpretation of the alphabet. Some may remember this beautiful specimen of animation they did a while back.
Well this piece takes a more visual representation of the word each letter creates. My particular favorites are D, N, T, V, and W.

Kelly Thorn
An extremely interesting and inventive approach to movie posters. To check out more of Kelly Thorn go here.

Mike Mitchell
It was really hard for me to pick only a few works from Mike Mitchell's amazing collection. So I just picked a lot because life is hard enough, why make it harder for myself? His style is original and his content is hilarious. What more do you want, really?

JESS3 X ESPN - TV Ratings 101
ESPN was looking for a way to make the explanation of how the TV ratings
systems works simple and interesting—at least engaging enough to keep
the audience awake. With direction to create something reminiscent of
“Schoolhouse Rock,” meets “Sesame Street,” JESS3 created a five-minute
animation with an old-school, 1970’s ESPN SportsCenter vibe to walk
viewers through the television ratings process.
Watch the video below for an interesting behind the scenes at everything that went into creating such a fun piece. The key thing to note is how great and trusting ESPN was as a client. It is always great when you can get that sort of partnership in the workplace.
